Powerflow exhaust will it sound stupid!

Well wasn't expecting that this morning.

Ordered a replacement exhaust for the S60 2.0T on friday from a breakers, what I thought I would be getting is an OEM replacement turned out to be a SS powerflow system with a tip you could fire grapefruits out of...!

Is this a result or am I going to be fart down the road like a 17yr old chav in a corsa?

Any one had one fitted for a 2.0T?

Its a result, it shouldn't be too loud with silencers or cat in place still.

Will give it a nice quiet rumble at a guess. Only one way to find out

Its from the cat back and the centre pipe has an extra box which I assume is a silencer.

So it might be ok then its just the size of the tail pipe made me wince a bit!

Going to give it a good clean over the weekend and get my mechanic to fit it next week.

Think if its ok sound wise I might see if powerflow can fit a slightly smaller tail pipe though.

Don't worry about the size - it'll look fine once it's fitted. Like suggested though, just get some Autosol on there & it'll look like new. Result

Id say its a result, it depends what the guy asked powerflow to do when he ordered it, it might be quite it might be load as hell. They do supply different tail pipes, go onto there site and you can see them all. That will clean up like new with some S/S polish.
    Thanks

Funny you should say that I just called my local powerflow dealer and they said I can have a smaller more standard looking tail pipe fitted for £60.

Another vote for autosol here. And plenty of elbow grease before it's fitted would be easier than doing it on the car

haha. Will do Jotter22, its getting fitted on Tues.

Now all I might need is some smoked windows to go with the gunmetal alloys for the full drug dealer pimp look.

My guess it will sound nice at tick over, and will only get noisy when you get above 4-5k revs ,that's what my exhaust is like.
As you say nice surprise to receive it.
