Looking at a relatively high miler with a good but original box. What would be the cost of a recon on one if it went wrong?
How long would it take? Is this a wobby dave job?

To rebuild a box your looking at 1.5-2.5k depending on how badly it goes wrong and who you use. Wobbly couldn't do it for you but he knows a man that could.
Andrew.

Thanks guys.
Ive also been looking at an S70R with 165k miles, not much history. Wigan volvo breakers quote £300-350 for a good 2nd hand box and £200 to fit.
I just reckoned with that mileage it could be an imminent job.
