    Volvo 850 engine rebuild thread

    Well seen as ive had the car for 9yrs and never done a thread about it i thought i minds well start now with doing the engine build, ive got 3 weeks off from work so let the fun begin
    I got a nice parcel this morning and just ordered the new injectors and fuel pump also got a very nice pressant to pick up hopefully at the end of this month also got a new 0.5bar acuator.

    Just need to order some stainless arc rods to weld the bung in for the afr

    I've often thought if it would work adding paint into the plaster and killing 2 birds with one stone lol back on topic, I used them aem gauges they're pretty good do you have the aem afr guage?
    Will you be up and running for York?

    Yeah the car will deff be at york up and running i just hope ive got it fully run in a mapped yeah ive got the aem boost and afr i will get the oil pressure aswell but just getting the main things first the quality of the gauges and parts used with them are brilliant alot of money but worth it, i could have got them a little cheeper is i went for digital but im not too keen on digital gauges and preffere the analog to match the car

    Ill be running my 18t with all upgrades and a custom map so should be nice when done and will also has lsd so better grip

    And another parcel today just need to finish gate for from tomorrow and fri then i can get my bloody trailer out of the way and monday start stripping.

    Update time the engine is striped and at the machine shop they are getting me the pistons and all new shells so its in for a .4 rebore, crank balance and regrind with polish, full clean up on the head and a cean up or possibly skim if needed on the head gasket side. the best news of all is thye should have it done by the weekend

    Lot of good work there mate but why didnt you just send the complete block to the machine shop and let them do the hard work like me lol

    Becuase im not rich like u dude and im a tight §§§§ and dont like paying people money to fix or work on things i can do easily, i think the only two things i ever need to pay for is mapping and machine work if i had a nice laith ide even do the machine work my self.
