    Pete! looks great bud!.... why paint the oil filler cap?..or is that just a temporary one?.....You're tempting me to do a rebuild at some point...what did it cost you in the end?

    Hey tc the filler cap is just a old one i have and just fitted it to keep the neck clean as for cost lol i honnestley havent added it up i bought quite alot of other things aswell
    rough geuss
    £900 in machine shop new pistons and all new shells
    £400 rods
    all gaskets seals liquid etc £200-£250
    water pump £ forgot
    For a full new engine if your doing the work your self you looking at 2k the ammount of time it take to post and polish a head is unreal god knows what some one would charge.
    Then theres new acuator, quarfe lsd, fuel inectors, gauges, fuel pump and lots more ive forgot about lol

    Yep well worth it, these engines if looked after will last a very long time as long as they are not pushed too far.
    The way i look at it is the car owes me nothing i have no intention in ever selling

    I spent 350 donor engine plus 1200 on the refurb plus 500 forged rods plus 500 forged pistons. The LSD was a PITA journey that cost me over 3000 quid in 2011.

    Hey Andy, cheers im hoping to have it ready for the meet at the weekend and then must resist the right pedal for quite some miles lol i used hycote engine enamel it leaves a lovley finish but you have to build the coats up nice and steady to achieve a lovley look
