Thanks for all the positive comments guys This car will be going to fleabay auction soon as I don't really want to speculate a price.....it's worth what someone wants to spend if you know what I mean.

I do need to complete a couple of tasks first though, firstly, I need to get my phase 1 V70R electric leather seats installed, which I'm hoping to rob power from the heated seat switches (so they won't be heated - just operate mecahnically) - the tdi glt seats are just the basic hand mechs so don't have the correct loom through the bulkhead. I had part of a loom off've one of Frankie's cars, so have that and a couple of the resistors for the fuse box (thoi don't know if I'll need these if I wire into existing heated seat switches??).

Has anyone here tackled such a project to give some useful tips? Would really appreciate some electronic nannying as its 'all greek to me'!!

Also, does anyone have a good condition 850 glove box lid and liner? I can mend the lid I suppose (the RHS hinge bracket has cracked) and the pin off the release mech is knackered also. Will go down the fix route unless someone has spare parts they want to sell. The liner though is missing a section around the RHS bracket giving a tatty look so really need a new one of those

Unlikely, but does anyone have any dash trim kits? I removed the gopping 'red walnut' trim out of this so just have bare black plastic dash at the mo. I could redraw up all my old trim and laser cut some new stuff, but that would be a real ball ache.....unless other people would be interested in buying kits once I've made the effort to produce some??

.....and lastly......I've had word from my alloy guru this morning......he's managed to save, straighten and unbuckle all of my polaris wheels, has recut the rims (so they are true with no rim repairs visible), so now I have a full healthy set of 5 polaris again These will be going on the 740 though....just need to decide what colour to finish them for a dark grey 740!?!?!?!?

    Have a good Monday folks

Oblark is breaking an 850, might be worth asking him about the glovebox and possibly looms?

You can wire leccy seats in, Volvo usually leave the loom in for the leccy seats under the carpet, they do in the 900 series. You need the circuit breakers from under the bonnet though

Sorry about that.....but it just doesn't go with the interior I'm putting in, so black was best

That's what I was hoping.....first installed the rears no problem. Then got the passenger front out to find they both have different looms and plugs, can't remember the exact situation as was a few months back now, but ended up having to put the original seat back in. I think there was only one plug on the original loom whereas the V70 ones have 2.....and neither of those plugs were the same so not just a case of using one....if that makes sense? I think it would be a case of running a new loom through the firewall if I want to use all the seats features, but think this would be far too much for the sake of it, so using the heated seat switches would be a more practical route?

When I said resistors I mean't circuit breakers (shows my crap electrical knowledge!!), they're the little silver 'boxes' (like large fuses), marked 20A 12V??

....just to confirm, the original seats are manual mechs, but does have a 'basic' loom to run the heated seats.....I'm hoing to use this (or the bulkhead cut looms from Frankies V70R) to get the electric seats operating?

Ahh....yep I did see that one! So your putting all your good bits into that one....is your S70 now back std?

Liking the white inlet mani & throttle bracket......to add to the 'no cover appreciation society' Where did you get the RIP from? I like the look of that one.....I usually think they look really ugly and spoil the look of what is a good looking engine!

......another N.I. plate though.....I wander how many 'LEZ's' you could get in the back of that ))))) mmmmmm
