    Maf problems

Hi all my V70 t5 auto had a visit from the green flag man while I was out today turns out to be a problem with the MAF sensor was able to unplug the MAF and the car ran fine as soon as I plugged it back on the car would die so I drove home without it connected

Obviously need to get a new/replacement MAF - mines per me7 - but can someone please tell me how long I can drive the car with the MAF disconnected and is if doing the car any damage long term?

    Thanks

    Rob
