Having seen your car at Southern BKV last year, I'm not surprised, but well done anyway, it really is a testament to all your hard work.

Ian, with our lights we'd be laughed at
The general aim is to present a vehicle that is in the same, or better, condition than it was in when it left the production line. Unless original, modifications are not allowed, and components must be suitable for the year and model of the automobile. Even components or features fitted to automobiles of the same type, but in a different production year or trim level, are not allowed. Original-equipment-accessories from the manufacturers own range are allowed and some competitions allow after-market equipment and accessories, provided they are of the correct period. On top of this, automobiles must be presented in flawless visual condition, as with other Concours-grade cars.
well that v70r had the wrong wheels on and it still won
This was not a concours show, it was a Piston Heads club meet at the invitation of Beaulieu and they judged my car in their opinion to be the best turned out of over 130 car's in age & condition and awarded the prize of Pride & Joy cup which I understand is a regular event at Beaulieu.
Ian, as I put earlier in the this thread, Doorman has had this car a long time and there are some stunning pictures of his car around his local area and if I remember rightly there are some pic's outside there factory with 3 V70r's all in silver, may be if Doorman see's this he may be kind enough to put a link to his pic's so we can have a look, I did a quick look about, but only came up with one which I added to the post, the others taken at the same time are even better.

I'm ashamed to say she only covered 1650miles between MoT's 2012/2013 but the weather really was awful last year, hopefully I'll be able to enjoy her more this year. As a matter of interest I managed to get Classic Car Insurance 2 years ago and it is insured for £8000, still well under what I value her at.
I must say I am really touched by the amount of interest shown, it is greatly appreciated, thank you one and all, I will endeavour to get some more pictures up for you.
Regards
David

These are the only photos I have from Southern BKV last year of Doorman's car:
and guess who was lucky enough to be embarrassed by parking next to it:
A thorn between two roses, as I believe both cars won best in their categories.

Well, due to some idiot who took the car in 2 years ago for minor stone chip work on the front end at a local body shop, the car was basically ruined (from my point of view) cutting a long story short, another body shop tried to put right the wrongs and made it even worse, so, Cambridge Volvo body shop took the car on, all but the roof & tailgate were re-sprayed and £2500 later was returned back to its showroom glory, after getting the car back, spent another £500 in having the whole front end wrapped in 3M Stoneguard protection, thus thats why its now classic car insured for 8k.
Just to remind myself, I took pictures of the abortion called re-spray stone chips, and quite often brings a lump to my throat viewing them. The picture taken at MRG's garage was when it was totally original, but is even better than that now thanks to Cambridge Volvo.
