i need to remove the handbrake cable from the rear hub assembly so i can take it off, tbh i've not even looked in the Heinz manual so no idea how it undoes or anything. Help please

I think I just used shear force!

You'll figure it out. I think it'll just unhook and unclip easily. Wind off inside the car first.

now i'm assuming that the cables attached to this mechanisms somehow, anyone any details how, where & how to disconnect it lol

Haven't done one for a long time but I think you back the in car adjuster right off (so the cables are really slack) then remove the bottom tension spring on the shoes, spread out the shoes so you can unhook the mechanism then swing out the bottom lever and pull the whole mechanism out away from the shoes and it should expose the nipple on the end of the handbrake cable that you can then disengage from the mechanism....I could be completely wrong though !
