    Here we go
A 3" throttle body is from a volvo 960 white block engine
Its a larger bore than our throttle bodys there for giving more air flow and quicker throttle response
To fit you will need to bore out the port in your inlet manifold so the butterfly in the 3" throttle body will open
Its a straight fit some people say you need to extend the wires but i have never come across one yet that needed that doing
All you will need is two gaskets one for the throttle body and one for the inlet manifold its also a good time to service your pcv system

If you need a hand give me a shout, it's quite simple really, the opening of the inlet manifold that the throttle body sits on needs to be opened up to suit the larger 3" tb, just a job with a suitable grinder, but beware you don't want to get any swarf in there, some people do the job in place, but it would be better to remove the inlet manifold before grinding out, just in case and as pete says, while it's off service the pcv thinggumee'm'bob, as I said if you need a hand you know where to find me.

Ps jealous of that 19t you got yourself

i used a flap sander to open up the manifold, very easy & gives a perfect enlarged hole

you don't have to change the maf as far as I know, as it can still handle this mod

No need to do the PCV - hamish changed it last year. I know this because I saw him do it.

You will also have to modify/add to the hose going onto the throttle body as it will be larger.

If doing this myself at the moment, will probably use a silicone hose reducer and a joiner sleeve.

sounds like the easiest way if you don't want to make a complete pipe like i did

the lower pipe is the intercooler to throttle body pipe (i've got a RIP kit), i used a 19mm air-fitting for the idle control valve
