Help find my ex-plodder in action....

I'd like to see what my car looked like in the force. I've googled the reg and nothing comes up and tbh I'm not even sure if it was marked or undercover as there's no holes in the roof and the paintwork looks in fairly good nick so don't think it will have had the battenburg markings.
Any ideas where to start?

Well, on closer inspection it looks like it was marked up with stickers etc I gave It a wash today and you can see slight marks where some stickers have been.
I'm even more determined to find a picture of it now but don't know where to start

Have you done a google image search instead of web search?
Also, do a search on cars from the force it was attached to.

Not sure of the force, I know that would be a good start. The reg is YK05 EDL.
I'm not too sure how the new prefix works id YK where it was registered and the last 3 letters random?
I have sent a few messages to police facebook pages asking if they could help me trace history but haven't got back to me yet.

YK is a Leeds/Yorkshire area plate designation.....

Judging by the photos on google and from what you've described, it would appear your car is ex-Yorkshire traffic division.

The police wouldn't tell keep which force and advised me to contact the dvla

Send them a request under the Freedom of Information Act, they'll have a tough time dodging that one!

I have found loads of YJ55's just no YK's. Although on this page of north yorkshire cars there is a YK astra....

A Freedom Of Infomation request will normally have to go in writing to the Police Headquarters of the Force in question, but who you address it to I'm not sure.

Quite a few YK reg vehicles from North Yorks, I reckon its from there.

If you are the registered keeper of the car you can apply for the owner history from the DVLA. This should show which force it was registered to, this is what I had to do to find out who had my first T5. That came from North Yorks too.
