    284 bhp with a 16t!!

ive not posted for a while but thought id share my dads figures with you lot last year he made 232 bhp with a hlm remap, rip kit,and a sports exhaust, since then hes done a few upgrades and made good figures for the mods i reckon, they are as follows......v70r exhaust manifold..3" tb..white injectors..mbc set at 15 psi..alloy air intake pipe..and a 16t with a straight outlet.i cant remember the excact torques but i know its well into the 300's!! it was rolling roaded at a place called atspeed, they have a 1.6 peugeot running 11 second quarter miles (look it up on the google machine )

now with thoses sort of figures im sooooo anxious to get mine done and i will, when (and if) the ecu finally arrives,as ive the same mods (although for the record he copied me ) the difference with mine is blue injectors and a custom 19t (race step gap seals, and a billet compressor wheel) and when it arrives an upsolute remapped ecu, which ill use untill my prototype ecu arrives...i cant say too much about that, but if works its gonna be an exciting break through in the volvo tuning community but if it doesnt work then it'll "just" be a custom map with a few experimental tweaks which are no secret but in theory if it works then ill share whats been done

at the minute im playing the waiting game,im getting good at it now lmao but with most developments.......it takes time!!!

    full respray..plenty of body mods..comets..ray cat back noise pipe..decat and wrapped downpipe..me7 exhaust manifold..3" throttle body with ported inlet manifold..blue injectors..adjustable fuel reg..reverse intercooler pipework..19t..open cone air filter..255 fuel pump..m-r-p short shift..boost gauge..unknown remap..adjustable suspension..lightweight crank pulley..n/a cams..stripped out interior..and a heavy right foot

fingers crossed it all works either way when its all done ill spill the beans lol and prototype might be the wrong word but it is an ecu thats being "adapted" to run the obd 1 850's that would make mapping alot better

im not sure,i didnt go,and my dad didnt ask but on the printout it says 284 so ill find out whether or not its flywheel of wheel power!! either way its a good result for the mods done considering the mileage is well over 200,000!!!

updates good and bad!!well he whp was 273...and before you all start ive seen the video and the monitor and thats what it said the 284 was calculated by the operator according to drag loss blah blah blah apparently we dont lose to much power being as its fwd its pretty direct to the wheels compared with rwd or awd but there it is anyways for the bad, well im gonna start a fresh thread for that so look out for a "ecu upgrade......yeah right!!" title.
