    Exclamation Problem help!

I tryed to start the ex plod yesterday and it wouldnt start it would turn over just not start any way i locked it with the fob and went in the d5 to work.

Now ive just been out i opened it with the fob fine got in and put the key in the ignition and all it was doing was making a clicking noise really fast so i took the key out and got out i pressed the fob and now that doesnt work!

Does anyone know what it could be and how i could sort it? Please help!

    Thanks!

    The car battery.

Sounds like you don't have enough cranking amps. Ususal sign of an old worn out battery. Voltage will be good, but under any load it just collapses. So there will be plenty of voltage to light up your dash, however as soon as you try to start it and try to draw massive current, the battery voltage dips.

It's the one in the boot. Very useful when you have a fully packed boot of heavy tools and equipment.

this is why I have spare batteries lying around My S60 kept struggling to turn over in the cold weather, switched battery for a good one (larger capacity and higher cca rating) and no problems now - tbf mine had original volvo battery so 9 and a bit years is good innings and still technically works (used it to jump my 530d the other day )

If you are getting a new battery try your local volvo dealer. Mine was £10 cheaper than motor factors and came with free fitting so no lost codes or anything. Cost around £78 if i remember.
