    855R Manual conversion.

I know James has done a thread regarding this topic, and it has been discussed in some lenght, (Normally with Smithy on the phone who assures me it will be ok) but as im just about to start this project myself (with lots of help) on my own Volvo, i thought it might be an interesting read of all the troubles im bound to get in and pictures with thanks and gratitute to everyone who helps**

I know in my head it will be worth it in the end but as it my pride and joy i am a bit apprehensive and nervous... OK im §§§§ting myself.

** This is an open invertation to anyone who can weild a spanner, Bacon sandwiches and lots of tea will be provided!

Updates will follow, probably with me crying over the keyboard

I've been looking forward to you starting this, look forward to seeing how you get on, unfortunately no spanner weilder here (M-R-P recons all I'm good for is holding the torch) but I'm sure it will turn out ok.....in the end, good luck !

I'd happily lend a hand but it is time I am short on - not willingness. Are you able to use a 2 poster or do you have a proper space to work in?

My top tips are - 1 - buy a roll of sandwich bags & black marker. For each section you take off - bag & mark the bits that go back on. 2nd tip - any loom connections which are close to each other use liquid paper/tippex & mark the unions. 3rd tip - take photos as you go. I didn't take enough but the few I did take were very handy.

Are you planning to drop the whole engine & auto as 1 or are you going to separate the g/b and engine in situ?

Well if you need my assistance - even just making tea, standing around & looking important - then I'll book the day off (though you'll need more than 1 day I suspect).
