    This might help some

Ok i've been hunting the web for useful stuff, I know it's hard to find things so here you go:

Get yourself removed from JUNK mailing lists:

    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/mps_choosetype.html

    The Telephone Preference Service:

    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/

    Getting off commercial E-mail lists:

    http://www.dmaconsumers.org/optoutform_emps.shtml

The main page these links where found on is:

    http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/t...elservices.cfm

Hope this helps some of you.

    Regards

    Iain

    Iain.

Thanks for this. It is worth noting though that companies have to pay for using things such as the TPS to ensure their DBs don't contain the information registered with them so many companies don't use it so you may still get the odd call. If this happens just ask that they remove you from their database.

Cheers mate very useful.I work nights and about six months ago the sales calls were driving me mad and as the telephone preference thing can take three months i rang bt and had the number made ex directory have only had two calls in the last six months. The lesson is do not give your home number to anybody just use a mobile and if any sales calls do come through from one of these computer generated lists tell em to f*** off they dont usually ring back then.
