Does anyone know if a 850 after market steering wheel adaptor will fit a V70 phase 1?

Yes it will fit, but you have to modify the airbag/horn bracket if you want the horn to work. Get one from Gpr in silverstone made by sparco for the 850.

Do you also need a resistor to stop the air bag activating?

I removed all airbags from the car and just took the bulb out. You would need a resistor to do it properly. No idea where to get one from though.

I googled grp silver stone and it came up with race wear is that the place to get the airbag horn bracket made?

You misunderstood me, you take the old plastic bracket off the steering column and modify/cut the centre.

Grand prix racewear is where you get the boss from.

Yup, got mine from GPR, it was Blackbeast that pointed me in the direction of them

It fits well, you just need to be brave when cutting the bigger hole in the airbag clock spring, I used a big hole saw!
