You can come and clean the windows Ian! Yeah I've thought about that, the Number plate is much smaller so there is no give in it.

Well July proved to be an expensive month.... I spent a £1000...

Since putting the New Rad on in Feb, I've still been loosing coolant. Tried tightening up all the pipes under the bonnet or putting new one's... Nothing.

Well after months of messing about it turned out to be the Heater Matrix, the two front footwells were going Orange.

My local Garage wouldn't touch it but told me D&A Auto's in Witney would do it (Volvo Indie)

Great guy called Derek who was really helpful, I asked him to also check the front suspension as the ride was not so great.

    Ended up having...

    Two Rubber Top Mounts

    Two Wishbones

    Heater Matrix

    New Brake Pads all round

    Oil Leak sorted

And I got him to fit those 4 White Plastic things that Swampy makes....

The Ride is totally different now, a real pleasure to drive.

This week the Prop Shaft is Playing up and making noises, so more expense unfortunately.

This week I also took the Carpets out and found them to be wringing wet with coolant underneath the waterproof layer....

Managed to Power Wash all the Coolant out but you can see how much...

Talk about being slightly brassed of at the mo would be an understatement!

Certainly looks like you've had a rough time recently, glad you've finally sorted the leak and improved the ride, shame about the cost though !

So, all this time away and you reappear with tales of mechanical woe...

Good or bad, an update is an update Ian and it's nice to see you're still with us!

Bit of a bummer about all the problems you're having tho mate but they don't stay perfect forever and a little TLC now and again goes a long way. I quite like the pink carpets tho

Been driving me mad for months Graham I can tell you... The labour for all that was only 4 and a half hours at £50 an hour, Derek really knows his stuff and is as honest as the day is long.

Ride is a lot smoother now and steering is much tighter so I was really pleased until the Prop Shaft started squeaking and groaning, serious money again.

All-in, you've not had anywhere enough trouble to warrant scrapping what is probably the best saffy on the forums these days. Although some have broken good cars for less.. (mentioning no names )

While you've been away, the sweed has got herself a GWE downpipe and is now considerably quicker, much to the annoyance of the driver of a 2002 M3 who couldn't pull away from me last sunday

It will be nice to see you again and I think there will be some usual suspects heading the same way, so I'll check with Mr Evans before posting a date, as we don't want it to clash with anything else and If I'm really lucky I might be in my Yellow one

He had to change gear twice, I didn't get out of 4th.

The constant checking of his mirror and the noise from the exhaust said he was flat out (I've been around cars long enough to tell when they're giving it death)

I wasn't gonna catch him but he wasn't gonna lose me either.
