Cheers Dave I reckon 200+ hours of rubbing it's not perfect but I'm so fed up of rubbing I'll be damned if i'm going to mess with it anymore as you well know you can loose the Shine and have to Start again!

I do nearly all my work on the car in the early mornings before anyone else is up mate... before family life starts it's my only chance sometimes and I enjoy the peace and quite.... Only trouble is I'm up at 4.30 am on workdays so when it's my days off I never let myself lie in if there is work to do on the motor.... Some days I'm on my knees by the afternoon lol

I'd have plenty of auto sol & "wheel wax" on it by winter. Give it a good coat so corrosion doesn't set in. It's all about keeping the moisture & oxygen away. Lol
I'm an early bird since my shifts changed. I like it. Lol

Crap Ian that's some awesome work you've done there, your making it really difficult for me to catch up,lol.. Just for future reference a bench grinder fitted with a buffing wheel and using the right compound makes light work of polishing jobs like that, you'll even get a better finish (though it does mean taking the manifold off the car).

lol cheers Craig it just gives you something higher to aim for! lol

I really wanted a small grinder and even bought the pads (which I had to use by hand ) But I have no electricity in the garage spent hours looking for a cordless one but too no avail.... This was the result of yesterdays rubbing which is nothing compared to previous times... Cuts everywhere lol

Stunning looking car well done mate, I would get that OAT longlife coolant out of there though unless its the Hybrid-OAT?

Can cause a lot of problems on our cars especially with the silicone hoses!

Just had a thought Colin, if we take tools to Trax, once his bonnet's up, we could distract him, and cherry pick the shiny bits for our cars.
