    Connecting iPod/iPhone to an s40

Had a trawl back through the forum but haven't been able to find anything on this but apologies if it's been asked before

    I've got an 06 s40 sport d

I want to be able to connect my iPod/iPhone to play music, I've had a look at eBay and seen various connectors but my car doesn't have an aux button so assume it doesn't have the cd changer port on the back so looking for other options.

So what ideas have you got and wondering how the stereo comes out as well?

    Thanks in advance

06 is this the newer shape version with the IKEA style interior? If so unfortunately I've never touched one to know. Depending where you are in the country get yourself to a meet sometime.

my 56 plate s40 has the 3.5mm jack on the passenger side behind the centre console just to the left of the cubby hole.its the se sport with the 6 disc pro logic so i dont know if yours has the same speck.
if you hit the mode botton on the dash console it gives me the option of cd/aux. aux is the ipos/mp3 if its fitted.

Sorry I meant I had looked and there isn't a jack there...

And no mode button, just am/fm and a cd button, single disk cd only,

So I think the only option is going to be a parrot or similar which can also do media play back....

Another option would be to see if there is a Grom adapter for your car. I have one and it is very good.

Looked at the grom stuff, impressive but painfully expensive, £370 for the interface and Bluetooth dongle

So mine has the single disk cd player, has anyone swapped out to a 6 disk changer? Wondering if this would work?
