I've just had an email from Volvotech to say mine should be with me today. I've ordered the OBD setup. Mine hasn't got the RTI, or AEM and the vin lookup tool said mine is classed as a 2005 so needs the OBD lead. Apparently. It's a 5 min install. That remains to be seen but I shall update you when I get chance to fit it.

I can confirm that the OBD cover does shut. It's quite a flat plug. You need small fingers to feed the wire up into the little space behind the light switch but I've done it. Only problem is I can't do anything with the CFE itself as it's turned up without the little battery cable so I can't power the unit up while it's connected to the PC. Just emailed Volvotech to tell them

It works . The latest version no longer needs the battery pack. Volvotech emailed me back about 10 mins after I emailed them to explain. Downloaded the firmware and software, adjusted the settings and now it all works.

What's the point, both your cars need the annual service long before they get to the 10,000 mile interval service.
