Seems to happen that way with certain motors. They're everywhere you look and suddenly you don't see them anymore. Even the old 96' laguna estates like the one I sold a few months ago suddenly seem to have dissapeared. When I think back to all the old hum-drum motors I used to have that are suddenly becoming worth something when they turn up on ebay makes me wish I'd kept half of them. I even watched a MK2 Cavalier SRi fetch £3500 on ebay a few months back, I gave one away a couple of years ago !
Old Car: 855 T5 in Grey and rust (dead and gone, well, most of it !
Missus' ride: Citroen C4 coupe 1.6 HDi,
    Modifications: Nowt.....yet !
Daily driver: 855 R in Black,
Currently nursing a blown head gasket, new engine on its way !
Recent addition: Freshly imported Honda Stepwagon,
Slowly turning into a camper van !

I hope the Mods will excuse the link going in this thread but in the context, I found this although it has an iffy gearbox. However, there is a replacement gearbox included........

I've got one of these in storage in a barn

Honda Civic Sport, the Acclaim was just a rebadged Civic saloon but used the Sport engine. The engines a nice unit, all alloy and light enough to lift unaided (I know this because I still have one kicking about in the shed that I keep having to move out of my way !). I'm waiting for the Civic to rise in value so I can sell it and retire on the proceeds (I only intend to live for a few days after I retire !)

    I brought an 850 t5 a few months ago for 500 pounds.

Taxed and tested. In good condition.

Since then I have spent about 1200 pounds sorting brakes including stainless braided lines. Polybushing engine bay . service. Replacing brake fluid and may of recommended stage 0 parts.

Had the windows tinted. Winter wheels (already had tyres) and currently have plans for more handling mods. Exhaust and a bit more power.

So I guess the point that im getting at is if you get one and become attached its gunna cost more then just 500 pounds
I don't break gearboxes. Just engine mounts.............
