I then left the car and when turning it on again it only works on full. Tried another fiddle am nothing so now I'm either freezing or sweating lol. Anyone ha the same problem? Sounds like the Blower Motor Resister is knackered......all fan speeds dead apart from the highest setting.

Ignore that - sorry - read it as if it were the fan speed - not temp control.

From trauling through the forums, and online also speaking to my local volvo specialist. Seems as tho anthing thing to do with fan speed is the resister as mentioned above. There are threads on how to get to it and replace. Seems fiddly, but simple enough. Ive recently had probs with my fan blowers.... i found out that it was just the connecting wires were degrading .So i retirmmed and reconnected and its all good now. Good luck with it
