My spoiler is a modified P1 spoiler
The twitchy temp gauge is probably another side-effect of the DIM failing.
If the ETM isn't playing-up (lumpy idle and major flat-spots while driving round town are the big giveaways) then don't worry about it - it's probably been changed. Have a look at it, it's easy to tell them apart - the Marelli one is big and square, the bosch has round bits and has a visible bosch logo.

From your description, it seems like you have an unusually good example of an early P2 car. I would happily spend the money on a new DIM, knowing what I know now.

Ok ill take your word on the temp gauge and is the orange triangle for the DIM playing up? Car drives fine otherwise.

Idle is fine and no noticeable flat spots so will check tomorrow under the bonnet - I take it this sticker you refer to is on side of throttle body?

Quick question - which S60/V70 models came with the round circular fog light or brake cooling duct openings on front bumper? Is this bumper lower/deeper than our normal V70 T5 front bumper?
    Sorry, nothing Swedish here...

    Thanks a lot mate.

Swore I would never touch another P2 after my S60 problems but at 1400 quid I was willing to take a punt on it.

I was hoping to head straight to performance and suspension modifications... But would seem brakes are first on list.

The DIM failing causes an SRS fault (it all runs through the DIM) which triggers a message on the info screen (which you can't see) and the orange triangle. As it stands, it's not an MOT fail because there's no visible airbag warning.

Let us know what you find regarding the ETM, only the marelli ETMs have the sticker, the bosch ones have bosch visibly written on them.

The round spotlights are from the S60 and the lower front valence and vents are from the R models. I've seen R bumpers made to fit.

Hmmmm maybe it's a different bumper I am thinking of?

It's defo not an R bumper as I know what they look like. I've seen this bumper im thiking of previously on a 2.0t S60 model but not sure if they're exclusive to that trim level or engine size.

That I couldn't answer mate. I know that, mechanically, the V70 has more in common with the S80 than the S60, which has an almost identical front end. Maybe there's a slight difference with the S60 that will make itself clear should you try fitting it.

    I've personally never seen a S60 front bumper on a V70.
