PHASE 0-3 of my 1998 V70R. Comments welcome for phase 3

Hi all i joined the the Volvo band wagon with my first purchase back in APRIL 2012 with this little beast..... 1998 Black, manual , black interior V70 R awd.....

    PHASE 1

I Decided i loved the car and wanted to put some TLC and cash flow into her..... So in April i went of to HML for a remap. Then in MAY 2012 Got the windows tinted, changed the Headlights to projectors, grill to XC70 grill, added a full Samco coolant/turbo hose kit and strut brace. ..... see below....

I was going for the stealth look and a few of you suggested removing the rear wiper, roof rails, mud guards. So i took these on board for phase 3.

    PHASE 2
I have removed the the rear wiper, removed the mud guards , removed the volvo badge, replaced the XC70 grill with a black egg crate grill. I have also treated her to A new windscreen, had all 4 wheels refurbed, and a blow over spray ( minus the roof ). Have a look.... i love it!!!!! NOW WHAT TO DO................!!!!!

I would do no more, just sit and bask in what you have done.
However if you really want the stealth look, get the car wrapped in matte black.

I looked into it..... Costs LOADS!!! Think i will just buy a set of rear lights from PFV. They look great on the car... not so great on the web site. A member on here has them on his saffy V70. We both agreed they'll look ace on a Black V70

I am looking at painting calipers and getting some drilled discs all round next month too

take the bonnet blanket thing off the bonnet, get a group a cone, a forge dump valve, a straight through exhaust with only one small box at the back and revel in the thunder the car will make, mine sounds awesome on boost, top engine mount too if you aint got one, run at least 18psi

Ive already taken the sound proofing off. I will look into the Dumpvalve replacement..... Is a group A cone a race spec or something...? I did notice yours was HUGE! Im guessing i could get that exhaust done as somewhere like powerflow?? Would it not mess up my Emissions though..... I guess you , mean thunder like this......

you can get a cat back system for around 300 quid and a decat pipe is around 80 quid, make sure the car is mot'd or you have a long way till it needs doing, i dont have a problem with mot's

At closer inspection , it looks the same. The blow off holes are visible in the photo.... just not clear at first glance. So the forge and bailey really sound that different??? What about the trumpet valves or Supersonic valves? When i had a renault 21 turbo i have a twin piston valve on there and it sounds like a grasshopper was stuck in the valve . Sounded great. But now i have a twin piston baliey and it sounds the same as a most dv's

those dump valves are different mate, the bailey has a more high pitched sneezing sound and the forge a loud whoosh with a deeper note, you could get one and sell the one you dont like, i put a bailey on my impreza and it was rubbish
