V70R new battery required asap - HELP!

As per the title the battery is knackered and I need a new one asap.

All the web sites appear to conflict what is required.

Can anyone confirm the best battery and the best price.

    Thanks

Not sure which is best, but I think you should get a black one.

Harvey recommends a silver one, what is the difference?

The silver top battery has the best reserve power at starting cold cranking amps, silver top is best,Blue top second, black top third.

Go to local dealer. Was £10 cheaper than nearest motorfactors and had free fitting. Cost £80 fitted for p2 v70 t5.

Is it me or is £100 for a battery (albeit a good one) really expensive? For what it is? I know you can get the usual Halfrauds dribble for £50-60... But last time i was quoted for a OEM spec battery at my local uni-part it was about £45 iirc, with a 5 year warranty, Although the battery did need replacing after about 2 yrs, but it was a straight swap-over, no quibbles! And touch wood, its been fine since, even with the tropical weather we get in Wales!

The volvo battery that was fitted from new,to get the same again from volvo was going to cost me £175+vat and the dealer did not have one in stock ,told me never sold one before, only got one in for warranty calm.
The varta battery I fitted was a better spec and half the price of the volvo one.
