    Braided Brake Lines

Yesterday i had new Gold Edition Brake Discs fitted from MTec (I will put pic's up later in Frankies Gay Enough Thread) MTec sent the wrong Rear disc's so now i have to sort that out with them.... I hate it when this happens, P.I.T.A.

Anyway.... I need new brake lines, should i go for standard Volvo? (which have lasted 14yrs) Or try the braided type? My problem is my garage tell me i need 6 hoses
(1998 AWD) but when i look on E-Bay i can only find sets of 4 Braided hoses.

Could anyone offer advice and even better put a link up so i know what to buy.

My garage tell me that there is little or no difference with the Braided and that i would be wasting my money.

    Any suggestions or advice?

There's a trader on the forum that does braided brake lines for our cars (I think he's called Swampy but I'm not 100%) for £25 a pair iirc.

    HTH.

Six hoses? I only did 4 on my AWD, though mine is a 1996 850 I would have thought the design should be the same.
1996 Olive Green 850 AWD - Follow the Project - Forged rods, 19T, big blue injectors, 960 TB, 3.25" MAF, Ostrich, 608 binary, arduino data display, active exhaust control with Focus RS tips, 320mm front brake conversion.
1996 Nautic Blue 850 AWD - Failed its MOT, now it's a donor for the green thing.
2004 Sapphire Black S60 D5 - The new daily hack.

My mistake only 4, the other 2 must be for something else when i heard them talking to the supplier.

Volvo want £75 for 4 hoses... Braided seem to be a little cheaper.

Unfortunately it seems i need to update my previous post, as i did not realise because it was not specifically mentioned above that the ebay price included free postage.
    - i can do the > 1998 kit for £57 rather than our normal price for forum members, with reduced postage.

the person selling them on ebay really cant be making hardly anything at all !

sorry again, i can only be honest about these things
