S60 Heated seat element, are they replaceable and where from????

A few weeks ago, i used my heated seats in anger for the first time since getting my D5. I noticed my seat
got REALLY hot, to the point where i had to lift my ass off it. Well, after using it for only short bursts to
save my blushes, it has packed up altogether now. The lights are on, but nobodys home!

Now, ive read LOADS of posts, and im guessing its shorted out, but i cant find any posts about replacing the damn thing.

Has anyone ever done this, and where can i get the part??
    Thankyou, Goodnight....much love

I'm going to follow this post because the drivers seat in my V70 has also gone west. I think to be honest, go to a scrappie and buy a replacement seat as it maybe cheaper than trying to fix the old one....

    Regards

On the 850 if the heater in the seat goes west you can`t change it just have to replace the seat.

Here's a brake down with part numbers not cheap, looks like there are a number of different one to suit the seat shapes.
Looks like the heater mat comes with the foam aswell.

Give Rufe a call or E-Mail at FRF because you can do the fitting yourself.
If you buy S/H do you know if the heater works if it doesn't you will have wasted your money.

Thanks for all the replies and info guys. I have thought of replacing the seat but getting a decent match in colour because
of age and wear might be an issue Will keep looking
