Hi Guys,
I know abs faults have been covered thousands of times but can find an answer:
How you you tell if you abs/traction control fault is caused by the ABS rings needing to be replaced or the abs module?
Thanks in advance,
Will,

check all the teeth are on the rings if not replace them, while your down there give them a clean with a wire brush, also check your abs sensors for broken wires or missing bolts.

I have checked the sensors, one is 1060 ohms the other is 1025ish ohms. I have cleaned up both the rings and sensors and there are no missing teeth. Also my cruise control still works
When i clean it the warning lights aren't on as much
I know these are both common faults, just need to know what to try first.
Thanks,
Will,
Just rang my local Volvo garage and they want £93 an hour to just find the fault....
Does anyone know how to tell if its the ABS rings or if its the module? Also does the 850 use rear ABS, ive heard it doesnt?
Almost went into a van today so desperate to sort it
Thanks for any help
Will,
Oh i see, the rear axle will give a cars true speed on a front wheel drive.
Think im going to try and change the ABS rings, is this possible without heat?
Thanks,
Will,
