LOL, Volvo guy looks like he's cruising with his arm on the door.

These days there's lots of quick cars, usually I don't care as long as they stay out of my way.

the power to weight ratio would be about the same, looks like he had the run on him off the roundabout if he kept going the t5 would have pulled back easily

The power to the weight poss but the torque is more on t5 and doesn`t look like he was flooring it anyway. My saffy wasn`t the fastest on here but to Hull and back the longest journey I took it for no 1 matched it off roundabout normally just kept 70 on a cruise.

In what way kept up with you? as quick as you or you pulling away slowly.

Was your 480 modded or was there something wrong with the pug. Should have been quicker than any of the 480s.

i was just and only just creeping away from it, they are a fast motor mate, i used to have a citroen bx 16v with 160bhp and weighed around 900kgs that was a rapid little thing

From personal experience, I'd say the volvo wasn't in 2nd when it came off the roundabout so wouldn't have been on boost. I've had lots of run-ins with the bournemouth PUG club and not one of them has touched my heavy old buss when it came to a head to head.

I do love my 2nd gear

480 just had a panel filter. 306 was Silverstones own, so thrashed but well maintained i've of said. Pug felt gutless

Fecking loved mine. Defo quicker than what people think!
Mate has a 205 with a Gti-6 engine with a few mods. Still couldn't keep up and I had a car full to the roof with camping gear and 3 up. Great little cars though. It is what it is, you can't compare it to bigger engines. Like comparing a T5 to a Veyron.

do you not think it was the mi16 that had the bx 16valve engine?

I know I'm a bit, well, squiffy. But I can't work out what you just said.
Mi16 is the engine, not the car (I tried explaining this to brothers landlord who still insists he has a Gti-6 engine, not an Mi16. The 6 is the gearbox ffs, gti means §§§§§§§§) The later iron blocks are §§§§e... I know this after owning a 2.0 Citroen ZX 16v, and it was sloooooow. The alloy 1.9 was so much revvier (is that even a word?)

It was the bx 16v that had a mi16 engine and so did the 405 too.but the 405 version was pants compared to the bx due to the weight of the car
