    ABS Problem ?

Changed the front discs and pads a while back, and immediatly after the ABS light came on. Some journeys it doesnt come on at all, i'm not neccasarily braking when it does come on and sometimes i get the noise of the ABS operating when i'm not touching the brakes and the light comes on. Any ideas anyone ? Dave ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve.

It is almost certainly the ABS ECU. Commonest fault on the system and I dont think it has a jot to do with the brake hardware change.

You will run over a bump or something - it will sound like the ABS kicking in and the light will come on. Classic symptoms, I am afraid. If you wish me to fix the ECU I can oblige - PM me or send me an email - davep@bigredvolvos.co.uk

by all means get your fault codes read first but my bet it will show a short or a fault in a wheel sensor, but it will be the ECU at fault, more often than not.
