Well, the stitching was easy, just Microsoft ICE which is a free prog - all you do is selct the images for stitching and it does the rest. The colour manipulation, and some distortion removal was done in Adobe Lightroom 4 (you can download a fully working 30 day free trial, but then it's about £100 to continue using it). I'd recommend ICE to anyone with a digi camera and a PC. Even using WIndows Live image software (free) you can get some excellent results. The pro system for panoramic work that some people rave about is PTGUI - again, you can download a watermarked copy for free, but another £100 to get that fully working. Of course, if you have Adobe CS which costs HUNDREDS, you can do all these things and more!

As far as the colouratioin is concerned, I just switched out everything except red and blue on the sliders - and a few other tricks.

There is a really good free tutorial on the PTGUI website. It works best of you have the camera vertical, and on a tripod, and set the thing to manual so that the exposure is consistent.

A few more examples - sorry, no Volvos but a change is as good as a rest:

So it's all good fun and very easy when you know how...and compared to stuff like this guy, mine are a bit rubbish! Check this one out - again made from lots of frames all knitted together, this time with PTGUI and using HDR: http://500px.com/photo/4383008

Well, I'm still trying to decide what to do. Either way, it's going to cost a bit. Not aclue what the car is worth - 100,000 manual R in smart condition are a bit rare now, but they don't seem to sell for much. I paid £3000 3 years ago but I would be amazed to get £1800 even if it is such a nice example.
