I'm sure it is, I seem to remember Alan M telling me its an Evo pump what was fitted to his now mine pump.
Found it cheaper too

They are pretty noisy, you really hear mine chucking the fuel about when it primes
Agree with Paul. I put the original back after a few weeks. Walbro was 255 LPH compare to original 225 LPH though.
you want to try an externally mounted fuel pump if you think that's noisey, then theirs the electric power steering pump the other side of the boot lol
I had one on my Cosworth, I'm still sure the 850's is nosier on prime
Original Volvo equipment is still Walbro but as said the 255lph is a good cheaper substitute.
Mine is dead quiet on prime and running.
You can`t fit the new filter that comes with it you have to use the existing one otherwise it hits the baffle inside the tank, maybe this is generating the noise as it is touching the actual tank and resonating, also the connecting hose has to go across it`s travel to the other side of the pump spigot as the normal straight down route to the pump spigot cannot be done, perhaps it is strained to be on that original side so again could be the causing the noise.
OR you have a duff one?
No idea, the lad I bought it off said it was noisy when he had it in his car, it doesn't bother me, it suits the cars image
