    high pitch noise

    Evening all my car has developed a high pitched whining noise from the engine bay around the passenger side
    Old Cars: Mazda6, Laguna 2.2, S40 T4, Passat 1.8t, Celica GT4, Legacy GTB, Golf VR6, S70 2.5t, C70 T5
    Current Car:850t5

    Need more details today you said it was coming from the drivers side lol
    Does it increase with revs does it go away when you do something etc etc

    Its just permanently there, doesn't increase with revs, and goes away when I turn engine off, its not a loud noise though its like a permanent hmmmmmmmm

    The sprung roller for the aux belt and the power steering pump can sometimes make a high pitched noise.

    is power steering pump on passenger side?? its somewhere between the airbox and engine

    If its between the airbox and the engine, its either gonna be the gearbox, the abs pump, or an air leak in the vac hoses.

    I once had a high pitched noise on mine after doing the PCV, turned out to be the small elbow which connects to the end of the inlet manifold behind the alternator had a small hole in it creating a whistling.

    Can you do a video of it?

    I will get a video of it in the morning, Im thinking I might need to tighten the RIP kit up
