    Couple of questions

    Evening y'all.
    Couple of questions,
I have a 57 v70 t5 does anyone know if the interior parts/panels etc are interchangeable with earlier P2 models???
Are there any good performance part websites or catalogs for me to have a flick through?
Is there anyone on here or volvo specialist breakers that anyone would recommend for various interior bits and pieces.
I have a rattle underneath which occurs mainly when the NSR tyre hits a pot hole, I'm 99.9% sure its a heat shield but haven't had time or breaks in the p*ssing weather to have a look I think its in the center. Are there any common points that they suffer with. I know I know, its a deft question but worth a punt.
Lastly the os door mirror repeater doesn't work, I've replaced the bulb but nothing, I was going to have a look this weekend but forgot my power probe. I had a quick look last night but I needed to sprout another pair of hands to use the multimeter. Again, any common points to check, broken wires etc. I did have a look in the rubber shroud between the car and the door but couldn't see anything.... admittedly I didn't look too hard tho.

Think that's it for now, thanks for sticking with me

    John

    Hi

No, the P3 is a completely new model and the parts are completely different and not interchangeable with the P2 model at all.

As for the rattle, it could well be suspension related, i.e. worn bushes or suspension parts in general.

    Regards

    James

By the way, have you checked the fuse re: your repeater not working?

Not looked at the fuse yet, completely overlooked that as the rest is working, I have lined a few jobs up for the weekend providing the weather stays dry. I thought the T6 was the phase 3?? I thought mine was a late p2?
With the rattle it sounds very metallic and tinny not so much a knock or a thud and can only be heard with the window down. Just had a quick look now and the center heat shield seems to be made out of paper so will get her up on the ramps hopefully have a poke about.

Right, you have a P2 facelift is what yoyu're saying? I think there is some code name for it like P86 or something but I just know it as a "facelifed mark 2". If that's the case then the parts are interchangeable with earlier P2 models.

Apologies to the Forum Mods as this has been moved to P3 thread. My fault, sorry.

Ok, in that case the inside parts are interchangeable.

When you change door cards, use your original switch packs or youll have trouble. Also, you can't swap your seats for pre 2005 seats as the plugs are wired differently (I believe) double check the plugs, most importantly, the srs connections (orange wires)
Remember, if it has a green connector, disconnect the battery before unplugging it.
