    OBDII Issues

Hi. I've posted about my ELM adapter v HTC Sensation issues elswhere on this site and grateful for all the help.

After trying all kinds of configurations between the ELM and the HTC I threw in the towell.....but its been bugging me ever since.

The ELM paired up as it should with the HTC, but torque wouldn't pair with the ELM and the ELM wouldn't speak to the ECU and kept saying cant find interface. Ive been searching on the torque forum but to no avail

So over a brew this morning I thought....I'll try the OBD connector cable wich I used for me audis (vag com) ...the serial ports are exactly the same as the ELM and it has OBD2 written all over it.....great plan. Connected to an old laptop and loaded the ELM software...I secured port 4, but the software keeps saying unable to find interface

I'm strating to think that maybe the OBD connector under the centre armrest is knackered or faulty, and was wondering if this is common?

I could (and probably am) totally wrong but can't work out how to read the codes and clear that friendly yellow light from the dash.....have to say though I have grown slightly attached to the yellow light....but would rather see it on my Xmas tree instead lol

Long post and short question sorry, any ideas appreciated as I'm not going to give in and take it to the stealer.....just yet

Think the vag-com cable is a KKL cable and wont work with ELM software.

One thing to try is download Motronic Suite and use the vag cable to connect it to the ecu, the software should be able to read live data (not codes)

Or try a software that supports kkl interfaces, I think 'vol-fcr' does, you can try it with the demo version
