Re-mapped D5's???

Hello, does anyone else have a re-mapped D5? i'm trying like mad to find out what map mine has had if its stage 1 or 2 of some kind etc.

Whats your power delivery like?
Is traction a problem (i know my tyres arent great)

sorry for the silly questions would just like to find out what the different maps are like etc

Get it rolling roaded some stage 1 is about 190- 195 ish bhp and stage 2 is 205- 215 ish irrc

Rica Sports Map on older D5's , power delivery is quite fearce.
and traction up to 3rd gear is "challenging"

Newer map on D5 185's is less so

I remember Casey saying Rica didn't have a record of his car but fearce would be a good way of describing it. Power comes-in hard at about 800-1000rpm and pulls hard right up to about 4000-4500rpm when the turbo seems to run out of steam. Having Perfos on the front with iffy tyres may not have helped the traction tho.

mines standard but got 174bhp on the dyno, with a bit of trying she'll lose traction in 3rd (also cheap tyres). But my turbo doesn't kick in till 1500rpm

Casey's is a "poverty spec" 2002 so mechanically the same as yours Pedro. This thing will give a P2 T5 a good run up to 80mph. very strong map. I've been in my mate's P2 D5 V70 ('52 plate), driven in anger and that was nothing like Casey's S60.

PM me your reg number and I will check on our database - if you had a rica sports map you would know about it as your flywheel would be non existant.

Just put a 'hopper' on the engine, that will add some BHP to a diesel.

Hey all thanks for the replies, i have no idea who supplied it or what bhp it is running i'll pm any details and hopefully be that one step closer to finding out lol never being out in a similar car mapped i cant compare

it's a 2002 (52) it also has a full exhaust system from the turbo back with decat and no middle boxes

if its a 52 reg, then it wont have the Rica sport map as its only available on the E4 engines.
