nice one!
the barrel does feel quite tight but maybe thats because all my other volvo's have done moon travel mileages!
hasnt done it since but was thinking of spraying something in the barrel to ease it a bit but il pass on that one now...
il try your slowly slowly approach.....

...it also helps if you make sure that your holding the steering wheel with your left hand and making sure there is no tension on the lock. Relieving the tension always makes it easier to turn the key in the barrel and will also massively extend the life of your barrell.
