    Good, I'm glad you sorted it because I know just how expensive a new intercooler can be.

    That reminds me, I should replace that corroded jubilee clip on my lower radiator hose as the head's snapped on that after I torqued it right up. At least it's tight though, that's right 'tight', a bit like my approach to buying car parts.

    You were VERY lucky,

    A friend of mine did the same,He saw a flood about 6" deep of water,

    So at high revs. He shot through, (Watching the big side waves and laughing). NOT FOR LONG !!!.

    The water was sucked up into the air intake and it went straight through into the cylinders, and as we know, water cannot be compressed, so something had to give, result Bent con rods and blown rings, cost, one engine.....
    He says he won't be doing that again..lol.

    I've had similar.
    Was showing an MG ZT180 that they're not quick in my EF Civic VT. Went steaming past him only to have the securing screw drop out the rotor arm. As I slowed down again popping and banging he went back past laughing. Git...
