Owen Developments could supply me with a GT3071R with a T3 housing, only reason I didn't get one is they run out of housings and weren't getting any in few a few months, give them a ring, they can build nearly any turbo to your spec.

I made these for my GT 2871 turbo
Then welded up
My GT30 is fitted the same way
Why weld when you can bolt it ?
Does anyone has a GT35 with the Japan manifold ?
because they allways blow/vibrate loose that's why and a £££££££ to get' to tighten them back up.
Agreed that loosening could happen but as mentioned, with heat and vibration, a complete piece with uneven profile has different expansion rate - and this might hasten the demise of the manifold (crack). The welding of the plate itself has already distorted the cast-iron properties of both the manifold and turbine making them more brittle.
Please note that I'm not undermining your efforts or views but just my concern as most tuners (low and high end) do not make this a practise.
Mine hasn't cracked, and welding the addapter seems to be the common way of doing it on our Volvos

Mark at brailsford bros Barnsley' I didnt trust myself to weld it and he's the best tig welder ive seen. http://www.brailsford-bros.co.uk/
What filler wire was used to weld it. Guessing 309L was used. Dont under stand why no one gets the flange machined to suit. Im certain it could be done.
