    Polybushes

    Hi

Can anyone tell me where I can get front polybushes from as ebay seems a bit vague on doing some searches. Has anyone got any specific recommendations as I know a lot of you have brought and fitted them.

    Thanks.

    Regards

    James

2 things would prevent fitting, pattern bushes being used previously and the rod being too big for the poly.

    OR

Forgetting to remove the outer sleeve of the original bush from the wishbone.

    Question

What are the clues to tell if a Volvo or pattern arm has been used?

I polybushed mine no problem. Both genuine arms but one had a pattern bush pressed into it (which had badly failed) and the other had the original genuine oil filled bush (OK)

Both went in as easily (ish) as each other.

There's no way of telling weather you have a pattern bush or not. There's also a large number of pattern bushes that have fluted rods through them (which you need as straight rods cause the poly to bulge) if you do get one with a straight rod, youll need to grind the flute shape into it.

Stupid question this, but why can't we buy wishbones that are pre-Polybushed? Oh now there's a business idea!!!
