    Well just been to local indie, it's the cable, comes as a complete unit, not gonna have one in till next week as it has to come from Sweden.....at almost £110.00

    At least it's not a gearbox mate. So in some ways - good news. Is the car driveable or have you gotta use the ***cough** VW **cough***?

    True, gearbox didn't bear thinking about lol.....took it to North Weald yesterday, just gotta be a little careful with the changes thats all, back to work tomorrow for 9 days so the scooter will earn its crust, booked in next Wed.

    This hapend to my 850 t5. I changed the inserts in the linkage that are rubber or nylon cant remember for a bearing. They sell the kit on ebay for around £12 its just 2 bearings along with a mixture of washers it sorted mine out just a suggestion for you.

    Thanks but I think the cable has streched as well, also the crimping has come undone, I don't think these would fully solve the problem but thanks anyway.

    Right, all sorted, new cable fitted and changing gear like er a manual should lol.....still can't believe the price of it tho, oh well.
