Heh thanks! I'll have a closer look tomorrow and get the camera out. One thing for sure is that I can't get the day running lights off. Where ever I put that little screw, it only affects the sidelights but not the main beam. I remember a thread on this many months ago and I think the conclusion was that most but not all 850s can switch them off [link click here] and also [link click here]. If anyone's in Leam, feel free to have a go but I gave up last winter!

LOL...Its almost like daylight. Only downside is the main beam looks really weak and yellow!...hardly worth using

Does anyone know how to adjust the aim on S60 lamps. I cant find an adjustment anywhere and one is definately pointing a little skywards

So does anyone know whether the ballasts will limit the amount of light produced when the day-running lights are on? I emailed that hids4u bloke and got no reply!
Can someone who has the kit switch their day-running lights back on to see what happens?
    Thanks

Guys, these are great lights from Hids4U.

I organised a group buy a while back, but no one was interested.

The price Aero got is a good one !!

Give em a go, you won't be disapointed.

Mike, do tell if you find out about the running lights eitherway - it's the only thing stopping me buying a set atm!

I think that you'll find the lower the HID colour temp, the brighter the lights will be (extra lumens/lux). There is an MOT fail coming your way if you go for the really high temps and get the blue/purple colours. I think that around 6000K is about the limit that you can probably get away with (unless the MOT station is your mate). So try to go for as low a colour temp as poss as this will be even brighter and no probs for the MOT.

Last year, my local MOT station was about to fail my Audi TT HID's as he sensed a 'touch of blue in the colour'. I pointed out that they were standard from Audi and there was nothing I could do about it!

Dude the glow IS your daytime running lights. When u turned the switch off u switched from main beam to day running lights. Anyone that owned a Volvo 440 will remeber this. You need to get the dealer to disable the daytime running lights.

ok well im seriously confused coz then the screw under the light switch only does the "sidelights" then, thought it was for the daytime running lights
