finally got round to porting the manifold

Well finally got round to getting the 3" throttle body fitted
    original

    All marked up for porting

I had a burr bit but it proved to be very very slow so reverted to the good old method some elbow grease with the file it took 10-15mins

Test fitment was all fine but just needed a little more to make it all smooth flowing and no obstructions

After the final filing down was ready for a quick smooth up and polish

    Difference in sizes

    And finally fitted

All done just need to change over the brackets for the throttle linkage bar as there different.

Will you be letting us know the results of this mod? Will be interested to see what gains are to be had. If the results are impressive, might consider trying it myself!

i have just done this on my 406 v6 coupe, opend it right up.

as for the gasket rather than gasket paper make it from 3mm ptfe, helps to reduce heat transfer between metal parts.

the next step is to remove the inlet manifold and port match that to the head fitting.
should help me see a few extra horsies
supplier to the forum of braided brake lines and almost any nut and bolt you want 10.9, 12.9 and stainless
