So here they are folks, my newly refurbed (albeit a hasty job) Comets on the car after a quick wash at the Slovaks!

Very happy how they came out and my buddy at Kwikfit only charged me £40 including nitrogen inflation, balancing using stick on weights and fancy, shiny valve covers!

Now to get the audio finished up (not long now......)!

Wow, night and day there mate they really do look good, got myself some Comets during the week, not gonna be able to have them fitted till Monday week tho, hope they look as good as yours when fitted.
ps. Which tyres did you go for ?

I picked a set of part worn (about 5mm average all round) 205/45 Pirelly P Zero Asymetricos for next to nothing!

Have given it a few miles up and down the motorway and round some bends; big improvement over the P6000 that were on the front and some Chinese wonders on the back!

A little more road noise as would be expected coming from 50 to 45 profile but slightly sharper turn in which is good.

Not worried about the noise though.......stereo will be up and running this weekend (if my missus stops finding things for me to do!).

Sorry Paul.....already found a home for them but I could ask if you want them.....

A pair of P6000s with about 4mm and a pair of chinese cheapos with less than 500 miles on.

Wheels are scabby but sound and round! The guy is collecting them later today as it was part of the deal for the Comets; I'll ask what he wants for them and let you know.

I'm down in Folkestone if they do come up and you want to collect.
