On early S60s (up to 2004) a rubber core plug can pop out into the bellhousing, depositing the engine oil on the clutch of manuals
That's the fella^^^^^ it may not apply to T5 but it is worth checking.
I knew nothing about it, until I was on the phone to Volvo ordering my bits to get mine done after the slave cylinder went pop...the parts guy said he strongly advised replacing it while it was open for the clutch and flywheel...so we did
