    caught fire

Now im really §§§§ed off, just been out to pick the mrs up from work got 2 mins from home and brake pedal vibrating like mad. Got home nipped into shop, came out only too see loads of smoke from under the bonnet.

Managed to put the fire out but now the ABS/TRACS ECU and plugs are no more, as this is a ME7 car (will never buy another one again) i now have no speedo, No ABS and no TRACS.

Whats the best course of action?? Thinking about it i should have let it burn and claim on the insurance.

I had a similar thing quite a few years ago - insurance would not cover it as I'd only overheated the wiring, it didn't actually catch fire. Sorry to say I can feel your pain. Good luck with whatever you do.

The ECU has too much control over the car and chucks lights as and when it feels like it
