    Wheel rub on S60!!! Hmmmmm

One thing i noticed when i picked my S60 up was wheel rub on full lock, so i thought "worn bump stops". I swapped them over last night, and it STILL rubs!

The tyres are 225/45/17's on Thors, which i thought where a normal size??

Anyone else ( i know this is common ) have wheel rub with those size tyres???

Looks like i need 215/45/17's to stop it
    Thankyou, Goodnight....much love

Phase 2 cars are renown for it. There's armour that you can get for your inner wing but it won't stop it rubbing tho. 5mm spacers help. Depends on tyres too. Barum Bravuris 2 didn't rub at all on mine but when I got the Avon ZV5s it all got a bit noisy lol.

P6000's are the standard fit. Must be the tires. I'll swap them over for the back ones and see how that goes

    They always rub.

There's even an MOT notice on it. See Issue 35, last page:

    http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repositor...ril%202007.pdf

UPDATE: This is the doc to use if your V70/S60 fails the MOT on rubbing wheels like mine did. It means that the Testers are uninformed! I've never seen anyone issue a "pass" cert so readily!

I've come to believe that P6000's are the source of all evil in the Universe - and having driven on them, I'm pretty sure I'm right.

not good on a road car. Your engine bay will be minging in the winter.

The only way to eliminate wheel arch liner rub is to fited 5mm spacers as Martin said. Also, fit new steering stops (black) and get the liner protectors. See here in this link:
