    Electric headlight levelers

I'm trying to get a better understanding of how the headlight adjusters work on the UK spec cars. It seems that the electric motors attach to the headlamp in place of the manual adjusters, correct? I can't find any images of this system, other than a few adjustment switches on eBay. Does anyone have any pictures of the components of this system? It'd be very helpful, as there aren't many (if any) that understand the system in the states!

Is the wiring integrated into the main harness, or is it a separate harness that can be added? I've got no problem removing the dash, and my engine bay is almost fully gutted right now, so adding some wiring wouldn't be a problem at this point.

I've been dabbling with the idea of doing a proper HID retrofit, and the ability to change the level of the beams would definitely be of use.

    Thanks!

Anyone? I can't find a shred of information about these anywhere. A video would be awesome, but pictures would be great too!

If anyone is breaking a car with the system intact and could remove all of the wiring and components, I'd be in heaven.

I will look tomorrow - don't forget we're some hours ahead - so don't panic. I have a spare switch you can have with my blessing.

    Thanks Dave!

Got any pictures of the adjusters themselves? (and the wiring going into them on the headlights, what harness the wiring goes into, etc..)

I will take some more photos - I have the MY2003 clear units. I did have a spare set of lenses until recently. Most sets from UK breakers will include the motors. AFAIK the manual & motorised adjusters are a direct swap.

I think you'd be wise to check the loom in the dash to see if the US loom includes the necessary plug.

The dash loom does not include it unfortunately, just removed my dash last night to do the evaporator. That wouldn't stop me from attempting this though if the parts ever became available
