They're very bright although I'm not sure why I was expecting to see coloured leds!

Also I noticed there's one too many pedals in the footwell

    Thank you Andy
Been cleaning the head lining and generally "tidying up". good thing too, I think everybody, at some time or another, had a look during the Southern Softies meet. I saw Stribo's S60R, it had the Atacama interior and I can see the similarities, although the R's interior has the lower part of the door card in the same colour as the leather insert.

I was a little worried about over-chavving it but it does look superb although the camera makes it look blue-ier than it really is.

Thanks mate, I put a link on Volvokid's LED sidelights thread for these bulbs, I'll try and find it in a sec...

Thanks, they're a very "clear" light superbly bright.

I think you'll find that you have one too few pedals and a gearbox that has a much smaller chance of covering the 187000 miles that mine has pmsl

Thanks Mitch. She got the name Big Sweed before I even took posession of her, I originally saw the term in an old Max Power mag, where they were test driving the Skyline R34 estate (yes they did one) and when they parked it next to a V70, they found it "Dwarfed the big sweed" the name stuck with me until I got one

And yes, I think I got lucky with the colour combination, it had the opportunity to go horribly wrong but it always gets good comments from people - makes me happy.

    Little tips...
    1. Do the swap over in daylight, I did mine in the dark so I could see the difference but I burned my fingers on the old bulbs and fittings!

    2. don't bother taking the interior trim off to get at the footwell lights, there's a slot on the front edge for a screwdriver.

    3. expect the unexpected... the OE bulbs are 12V and about 12w or so. when the car is running, there is a small amount of power going to the bulbs but they don't give off any light. Where the LEDs use less power, they emit a a faint glow. I do mean faint, you can't see it in your peripheral vision while you're driving and they go off when you lock the car.

    4. Bin the reflectors from the reading lights, they get in the way and do nothing with the LED units in. Make sure you point the LEDs in the right direction.

    5. (very important) Don't look at the LEDs when you turn them on, they're bloody bright lol

tut tut that's what you get when you buy cheap, just kidding, but thats why I went for the kit, I know it cost more but they have researched the LED's and this is one thing they shouldn't do (I hope) so they say, or they will be getting shipped back for a refund
    Thanks
