Don't really know how it works, but I flashed a new map to the s70r today
what leads do you need to link it to the ecu and is it just a matter of loading the orignal map to the pc tweek it abit and send it back to the ecu?
I got the lead supplied by the tuner, but it's probably just a usb-serial lead with an OBD plug.
I trusted this to someone with a lot of experience, I wouldn't mess with it unless you've done lots of homework- and even then I'd probably still be scared
There are forums that discuss this very topic, but I can't remember what they are!

ok mate thanks for the info just wanted a rough idea what was involved as a lad off the other forum put this thought into my head lol
Motronic suite uses the KKL cable (usb to obd plug) should be able to get one off ebay quite cheap. I use motronic suite to edit my maps and have a separate chip burner to do the chips and a socket in the ecu.

Mite sound like in a bit daft lol bv why would u need a chip burner and the obd lead?
I bought the chip burner a few years ago before the Motronic suite had progressed to being able to flash the ecu.
I bought the cable to do some datalogging not long ago.
