Well today at Combe pretty much ££££ed it !

Boosting well for the first lap, started stuttering under load which i was expecting, after a lap on the overun it was smoking badly which again i wasnt too worried about....

Stuttering got worse to the point it wouldnt do anything over 1/2 throttle without a fuss....... smoking got alot worse, then noticed a drop in oil pressure at idle.... temp gauge stayed at half way....

Decided to pull off the track as i didnt want it to explode on the track and cause more delays, upon drivng back to the stand it was apparant there was an issue, smoke pouring out the bonnet, in through the vents inside, even with the windows open it looked like we had fire !

The marshalls stopped me and told me to cut the engine, this was the last time the engine would ever run..... the engine has split a hose dropping all the coolant, boiled the engine (again with no rise on the gauge) this in turn boiled the oil which fried the mains and the big end. We sorted the split hose but it was leaking out of the block at this point it was decided its not worth fixing and to just get it home!!!

Soooo RIP... P714 HAR, I sure will miss you !! :'(

Cheers Graham, it would appear a replacement has already arrived, in the shape of a V70R

Got it home today, its definately §§§§§§ed, spews water out the bottle as soon as you turn the key, leaking out the back of the block and compression (barely) on 1 cylinder.........

Ive also just gone and bought a V70R for £400 this will was gonna be the runaround, however complications in taxing the bloody thing has meant a new plan had to be hatched.......

So also today i brought the 850R i had in storage home this already has tax and MOT etc etc, this had a new engine put in a few weeks ago (after i blew that up aswell) but i didnt finish it, now the T5 is §§§§§§ed im going to spend tomorrow swapping the bits needed from the T5 to the 850R so that i can use that whilst i wait for the gubbins to come through for the V70R....... Confused ? yeah me too lol

Still at least i have all 3 of them home
